BBB 2013-01-25 vs Shorecrest

The OH boys played their second-to-last home game of the regular season Friday night against Shorecrest.

The night didn't start out well, with the Freshman falling behind 10-4 early and trailing 19-8 at halftime.  They recovered a bit on offense in the second half, scoring 18 points, but Shorecrest also got their offense into high gear to win 48-26.  Diangelo McKinney scored 6 to lead the team, Sean Erskine and Tanner Walker finished with 4 each, Tyler Snavely and Elijah Smith 3 each, and Dante Mitchell, Savion Passmore and Fred Miller with 2 each.

The JV squad just couldn't find any rhythm in Friday's game and fell behind quickly.  The final was 62-18.  Gage Eccleston score 5, Alex Warner 4, Cortez Ridley 3, and Connor Parmenter, Jacob Sturvevant and Ben Fikse 2 each.

Offense also wasn't shining in the varsity matchup.  At the end of the 1st quarter the game was tied at 10, and OH went into the locker room at halftime leading 19-14.  Jojo Webster scored 8 points in the 3rd and got a spectacular assist, feeding Chris Hailer for a rim-rattling dunk.  At the end of the 3rd, the Wildcats led 34-26.  Both offenses finally got on track in the 4th quarter, with the 'Cats scoring 17 and the Scots 18, but OH grabbed the win, 51-44 and are guaranteed a spot in the league tournament that starts Feb 6th.
