GBB 2014-12-13 vs Anacortes

Saturday afternoon the Wildcat girls basketball team faced off against the Anacortes Seahawks in the Oak Harbor gym.

In the dome, the freshman team played a solid first half, heading to the locker room tied at 9.  The 3rd quarter hurt, though, as the Wildcats scored only a single free throw while Anacortes got 8 to take a 17-10 lead.  The 4th quarter was also even, leaving the 'Cats on the short end of a 28-20 score.  Rosie Loera led the team with 8 and Alisha Wilson added 7 more.  Kia Ceya and an unknown player scored 2 and Tia Miesle dropped in a free throw.

The JV game was also even, but just for the 1st quarter.  Anacortes led 11-10 at the first buzzer, but 21-13 at halftime on their way to a 42-20 win.  Lydia Peplinski scored 7 to lead the JV team and Hannah Taylor contributed 5.  Jayden Jesus, Taylor Deconzo, Lexi Jones and Miesle each scored 2.

It was all Anacortes in the varsity game, with the visitors leading 21-6 at halftime and 41-23 at the end of the game.  Rahsanna Graham (RG) scored 7, Bryn Langrock 4, Deja Bunch 3, while Jinai Guzman, Julie Jansen, AnnaBelle Whitefoot and Deconzo added 2 each.
