GBB 2014-12-20 at Ferndale

After three straight home games, the Wildcats took to the road on December 20th for games at Ferndale.  Only the freshmen and varsity girls played, as due to illness, Oak Harbor did not have a complete JV squad.

The C team did not have a good day, falling 47-11 to the host Golden Eagles.

In the varsity game, Oak Harbor played some inspired ball in the first half.  Over coming a tight Ferndale press, the Wildcats used a stiff defense to hold the hosts to just 9 points while scoring 11 of their own.  At the half, Ferndale led, but by just 2 points, 22-20.  Ferndale opened the 2nd half by going on an 18-4 run, then added another 29 points in the final quarter to defeat Oak Harbor 69-27.

Jinai Guzman was sharp with 14 points, RG scored 6 and JP 3. Bryn Langrock and Lexi Jones finished with 2 each.

The girls travel to Mt. Vernon for an end-of-year tournament on December 29th and 30th, then return home on January 9th to face the Stanwood Spartans.
