Track 2014-05-01

Back at home on an absolutely beautiful Whidbey day, both the boys and girls track teams performed well against visiting Getchell and Mountlake Terrace.

There weren't a whole lot of event victories, but Oak Harbor's depth provided the points necessary to win 3 of the 4 duals.

The boys beat Getchell 76-60 but lost to Terrance 84-61 while the girls beat Getchell 89-61 and Terrace 78-72.

Individually, Wildcats won 7 events and won one of the relay races.

Dejon Devroe won the 200 and 400 meter dash, setting a new PR in both (22.88 200, 50.53 400).

Alex Laiblin was also a double winner, taking the 400 and 800m races.

Jonalynn Horn won the 3200, Blaine Coleman won the javelin with a PR of 132-10 and Zack Norton won the Triple Jump with a 39-3 PR.  Norton also set a PR of 18-8.5 in the long jump.

The relay winners were the girls 4x200 team of Sierra Seabolt, Mattie Miesle, Kiesha Watts and Alana Austin.
