Middle School Cross Country 2013-10-17 at City Beach Park

Wildcat United, the combined OHMS/NWMS Cross Country team ran their second and final home meet this past Thursday at City Beach Park.  Oak Harbor hosted Anacortes and Cascade (Sedro-Woolley)

The 7th grade girls went off first, and while Anacortes captured first place in the race in 11:23, Wildcat United runners took 3rd 7th and 8th.  Zaira Alvarez was 3rd in 12:00, Sierra Dubuque 7th in 12:54 and Joanna Blaine in 13:05.  Running, but not in the top 10 were Shaeley Finch, Cami Bristow, Maggie Jappert, Madison Rude, Catilin O'Brien, Gabby Harstad, Katherine Medina, Ceirra Dean, Emily Petty and Jenna Flores.

On the boys side, Anacortes and Cascade together swept the top 6 spots.  Blake Servatius was the top Wildcat runner, finishing in 7th with a time of 10:55.  Close behind was Ethan Lang in 9th (11:02) and Ben Knoll in 10th (11:04).  Not in the top 10 were Caleb Hunter, Destin Mansikka, Carl Davis, Juan Luna-Elliott, Jared Johnston, Bogart Baca, Devon Gilbert and Kenzo Sturm.

In the 8th grade girls race, Cascade took first in 10?01 and Anacortes second, but 5 of the remaining 8 top 10 spots went to Wildcat United.  Megan Keating was 3rd in 10:42, Olivia Flack 4th in 10:51, squeaking by teammate Jillian Pape who was 5th, but with the same time.  Taliah Black was 7th in 11:31 and Alora Callier 10th in 11:50.  Also running were Mary Catherine Middleton, Trinity Olvera, Baelee Whitinger, Maggie Fink, Mariah Dean, Tia Miesle and Morgan Barber.

Finally, the 8th grade boys.  Anacortes again took first place in 9:41, but Wildcat United had depth, taking 2nd through 6th, and 10th place.  Jake Huck 2nd in 9:46, 3rd Gabe Salinger 9:49, 4th Michael lym 9:53, 5th Ryan Vasileff 9:55, 6th Andrew Eaton 10:12.  Tenth Place was Will Danielson in 10:28.  Rounding out the Wildcat United field were Noah Herrera, James Besaw, Cooper Treadwell, Kurt Husler, Ethan Wilson, Kaishyu Higashiyama, Travis Wagner, Dean Martin and Christian Vasileff.
