VB 2013-10-2 vs Everett

A skilled (8-3 overall) and experienced (6 seniors) Everett Seagulls volleyball team came to OHHS Tuesday night and it was not a good night for the Wildcats.

Over in the dome, the freshman team played two tight games, at one point coming back from 10 down to close to within 2 points, but in the first two games the C squad lost by identical 21-25 scores.  In the 3rd game, Everett commanded, winning 25-10.

In the main gym, Oak Harbor won game 1, 25-21, stumbled in game 2, 19-25, then fell in game 3, 15-25.

For the nightcap, It looked like the Wildcats were going to have a stellar night.  The girls, wearing pink jerseys, came out on fire and let the first game several times.  Late in the game, though, the Everett experience came out and they took the first set 25-20.  That loss seemed to take something away from the 'Cats, as in game 2 and 3 they played well, but not with the fire seen in game one.  Everett won game 2, 25-15 and game 3, 25-13 to sweep the match 3-0.

Tonight the Wildcats take on winless Marysville Getchell on senior night.  After tonight's match, there is one more match in the regular season, at Pilchuck against the 2-10 Tomahawks.
