Youth football 2013-10-05

All five teams were in action this past Saturday, and for the PeeWee Bobcats it was their final regular season game.

The Bobcats traveled to Stanwood to get their 5th win on the season against one loss by beating host Stanwood REd 12-6.

Also on the road, the senior Wildcats held on to their perfect 6-0 record by beating LaConner 38-12.  Next week the Wildcats are at home against Friday Harbor at 11am

The midget Cougars improved to 5-1 with a win over Stanwood Black at Stanwood.  Next Saturday they are at home against Lakewood at 9am.

There were two home games on Saturday.  At 2:30pm the 2-2 Pumas hosted 1-3 Anacortes.  The Seahawks came to play, whipping the Pumas 39-0.

Finally, the 2-3 Jaguars hosted  5-0 Bellingham.  This was a hard-fought game and it came down to the last play of the game.  Oak Harbor had the ball in Bellingham territory down by only 8, but a 4th-down pass play didn't work and the Bellingham team was luck to escape with a 22-14 win.

Both Junior teams travel to Stanwood next Saturday.  The Pumas face the 6-0 Black team at 11am while the Jags go up against the 2-4 Red team at 9am.

Photos from the Jags game are posted HERE.
