The OHHS JV and Varsity baseball teams both won against Mt. Vernon Friday afternoon. The JV team was at home, and after building a mid-game 4-1 lead, was able to hold on and win 5-3.
While the JV team was winning their game, the varsity team was in Mt. Vernon and found themselves in an early hole. Mt. Vernon led 2-0 after 3 innings, but the Wildcats scored 3 runs in the 4th, then added two more in the 5th and another three in the 6th to win the game 8-4. Kian Mevane was 3-4 at the plate, including a 2-run home run and a total of 4 RBIs.
This was Oak Harbor's 2nd win this week, as the varsity boys also beat Sedro-Wooley earlier in the week. Their record now stands at 2-2 overall.
