The OHHS softball team faced off against Everett, currently ranked 8th in state in 3A softball, and the Seagulls wasted no time jumping to a 6-0 lead early. Oak Harbor continues to struggle with errors, but Coach Weikle said it was nice getting some good hits, somewhat meeting their hitting goal. She was disappointed that when the team got a player on base, a mental error would result in an out, or the runner was left stranded at the end of the inning.
The JV game started out similarly, but a nice rally in the 2nd inning drove several runs across the plate. Everett recovered and was able to win the game.
Both JV and Varsity photos are posted HERE.
