Softball update 2015-04-05

After what seemed like a neverending string of away games, the Wildcats played at home last Friday, hosting the Stanwood Spartans.

There was no JV game as many of the Spartan JV players elected to go out of town for spring break rather than play softball.

While OH lost the varsity game 10-7, the game was never out of reach for the young Wildcat team.  A single strong inning put Stanwood up big, but the 'Cats chipped away at the lead, and at the end of the 6th inning the score was 9-7 for Stanwood.

The Spartans were able to drive in one more run in the top of the 7th, but Oak Harbor couldn't get anyone home before the final out.

The 'Cats drop to 0-3 in league play while the JV team is 0-1-1, the tie coming against Arlington, 8-8.
