Track update 2015-04-20

There was only one track meet recently, and that was at Quil-Ceda Stadium in Marysville on 4/16 vs Getchell and Meadowdale, and the 'Cats did well.

The boys won 9 events while the girls picked up 10, including all 3 throwing events.

Dejon Devroe was a double winner for Oak Harbor, getting victories in the 200m dash and as a member of the winning boys 4x400m relay.

While Devroe didn't win his signature event, the 400m dash this time, the time he set on April 2nd at Wildcat Memorial Stadium, 49.46, is currently the best in the state in 3A and 6th best in the state overall.

Another double winner last Thursday was Freshman Mac Nuanez, who finished 1st in the high jump, clearing 5-10 for the first time, and was a member of the winning 4x400m relay.

Sebastian Ceaser won the 800m run, John Rodeheffer the 1600m run and Jared Gray the 300m hurdles.

In field events, Tyler Adamson won the shot put, Diangelo McKinney the long jump and Ozelle Jackson the Triple Jump.

Three girls were double winners - Kaitlyn Chelberg in the 100m and 300m hurdles, Jonalynn Horn in the 1600 and 3200m run, and Taylor Deconzo in the shot put and javelin.

Also winning for the girls in running events were Alana Austin winning the 200m dash and Deja Bunch the 400m dash.

Other field event winners for the girls were Julie Jansen in the discus and Jenna Cooley in the Long Jump.
